The NYTimes Announces that Bob Dylan is a Sellout
I’m not really sure what to make of this.
Dylan has been playing concerts in a country whose government kills civilians, supports dictatorships, topples democracies, and imprisons and tortures people without a trial for, oh, about the last 45 years. It doesn’t ruin his credibility in my book.
Anyway, Ms Dowd, you write for the New York Times. Who gave you the right to decide who’s selling out? Isn’t that reserved for those of us who create our art for (nearly) free?
